Amacon Mississauga Rotary Ribfest

Posted On July 25, 2012

From July 19-22, 2012, the 10th Annual Amacon Mississauga Rotary Ribfest was staged at Mississauga City Hall’s newly redesigned, Celebration Square.

The Rotary Ribfest is the biggest and best community summer festival that takes place in Mississauga, with great food, great entertainment and a great location. It brings together a diverse mix of visitors, this year estimated at over 120,000, with easy access to public transit and ample free parking.

“It’s a huge success for the city of Mississauga and we are proud to be a part of Canada’s most successful and evolving community. It has been amazing to watch this event—and this city—grow and flourish,” says Stephanie Butler, Marketing and Sales Manager for Amacon.

This year was Amacon’s sixth year returning as the Presenting Sponsor and, during the opening ceremony, Butler was excited to let Tom McPherson, Chair of the Rotary Club, know that Amacon would be back as Presenting Sponsor for the next five years!

This has been our best year for fundraising so far. In addition to our Presenting Sponsor contribution, Amacon raised $65,000 for the Rotary. All proceeds are put back into the community through the many community services sponsored and supported by the Mississauga Rotary Clubs, including Breakfast for Kids, Erin Oak Centre, Hospice of Peel, Peel Regional Science Fair, Community Living Mississauga, Junior Achievement and many more.
