A Major Milestone at Parkside Village: Food Basics Opens at Avia

Parkside Village reached an exciting milestone on March 27 with the grand opening of Food Basics at Avia. More than a new retail addition, the opening marks a meaningful step forward in the growth of this vibrant, mixed-use community in the heart of Mississauga.
The event brought together Metro, the Food Basics ownership team, City Councillor John Kovac, and Amacon — a reflection of the strong partnerships driving the continued success of Parkside Village. As part of the celebration, Metro presented a $5,000 donation to Food Banks Mississauga, a gesture that highlights the shared commitment to supporting the broader community.
Now open on the ground floor of Avia, the 29,000+ square foot Food Basics brings enhanced convenience to residents and the surrounding neighborhood. We’re proud to welcome Food Basics to Parkside Village and look forward to what’s ahead for this growing community.
